Výzkumné zájmy
Morální filozofie a etika (Immanuel Kant, morální fenomenologie, post-wittgensteinovská etika), dialogická filozofie (Buber, Lévinas), sociální a politická filozofie (Hannah Arendtová, Frankfurtská škola), filozofie lásky, estetika.
Strammerův výzkum se točí kolem mezilidské vztahovosti a jejího etického a existenciálního rozměru. Zvláštní význam pro jeho práci má pojem druho-osobního vztahu neboli vztahu já-ty, a to jak v klasické dialogické filozofii, tak v současné diskusi. V současnosti zkoumá místo a význam tohoto přístupu v politické a sociální oblasti.
Strammer nedávno obhájil v Centru pro etiku lidských hodnot doktorskou disertační práci s názvem Togetherness as a Moral Notion. V současné době působí jako externí pedagog na katedře filozofie Univerzity Pardubice.
