Symposium CEEEN: Ethical Values and Emotions

28th – 30th May 2015

Symposium map (with venues, hotels and restaurants)
Pubs in Olomouc (organisers' favourites)

1. Greater part of the symposium will be held at the Centre for Patristic, Medieval and Renaissance Texts, Sts Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology (room U3, 2nd floor), Palacký University Olomouc, Třída 1. Máje 5, Olomouc, Czech Republic (Google Maps).

Note the change, please: Previously, greater part of the symposium was planned to take place in the (much more palatial) main building of the Faculty of Theology. But construction works in that building have been scheduled for the time of the symposium.

2. Opening of the symposium will take place at Corpus Christi Chapel at Palacký University Art Centre (ground floor, left part), Univerzitní 3, Olomouc. (The Art Centre is quite nearby the faculty of theology: same street, to the left if facing the faculty.)

1. From airport to Olomouc: The closest airports are Prague (cca 3 hours by direct train) and Brno (cca 1 hour by direct train). If you come to Prague Vaclav Havel Airport (which is more probable), take the "Airport Express" bus that takes you directly to the Main train station. It goes every 30 mins during the day. From the Main station, the trains to Olomouc go frequently, choose the trains EC or Ex (Czech Railway company) or LE (Leo Express) or IC (RegioJet). The ticket offices of all the companies are located on the ground floor.

2. From "Hlavní nádraží Olomouc" (Train Station Olomouc) to venue 1 (The Centre for Patristic, Medieval and Renaissance Texts): Take tram 2, 4 or 6 from the station to tram stop "U Dómu". (A ticket costs 14 Czech crowns.)  Entrance to venue 1 is just at the tram stop, and labeled "Centrum pro práci s patristickými, středověkými a renesančními texty". (Google Maps)

3. From "Hlavní nádraží Olomouc" (Train Station Olomouc) to venue 2 (Corpus Christi Chapel): Venue 2 is one tram stop farther than venue 1. Again, if you start at the Train Station, take tram 2, 4 or 6, but this time to tram stop "Náměstí Republiky". (As said, a ticket costs 14 Czech crowns.)  After walking 50 m, note that a street labeled "Univerzitní" begins on your left. Turn into that street and after less than 100 m you reach Palacký University Art Centre (pink building, labeled "Umělecké centrum"). The Chapel is in the left part, on the ground floor, and it is labeled "Kaple Božího Těla". (Google Maps)
